prompt #7

If you could meet anyone - past or present - who would it be and why?

If I could meet one person, it would Johnny Depp. I love him. He is gorgeous and adventurous. I would absolutely love to spend a day with Johnny Depp. I wouldn’t even have to plan the day. Just hang out with him would be just fine. I wouldn’t even mind if it was a two second glance over my shoulder and I just seen him smile at me, I’d still love every second! But if I had the option I would love to just sit back listening to music and go to dinner.

prompt#6

What are you most proud of?

For right now I’d say something I’m most proud of would be, working as hard as do. I know everyone works hard and it’s not just me but, my freshman year I wasn’t motivated at all. I didn’t care about homework or school. I also never even thought I’d get a job. Now school is my main priority and I work all the time. Every day I go to school get out at 2:30, go straight to my first job and get off at 5:30, then go work at my second job from 6- about 11. After I get off work I am always super tired and just want to go to bed but, instead I stay up and do my homework. I will admit, though, I do slack off every once in a while but, for the most part I get it done. Looking back on how I used to be to the way I am now, is defiantly something I’m proud of!

prompt # 5

What motivates you?

There are a lot of different tasks that motivate me. I have little and big things that give me motivation. Right now have been focusing on the big thing, which is getting started with what I want to go to college for. Last year I decided that I for sure wanted to be an elementary teacher. The first thing I thought to do was try to get a job at a daycare. I chose to apply at Sunshine and Rainbows because I heard it was a good place and it’s close to my house, so I could walk to work. I started working at the daycare in the middle of summer. Every day since I have loved it! Before I started working at the daycare I didn’t realized how hard it could be. Some days the kids can have a bad day and start to act up. Those days I am actually thankful for because it helps me learn. I also never realized how attached you can get to the kids. They all are great! At the beginning of the school year I decided that I wanted to go to college at DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa. I applied and got accepted into their Early Childhood Education program in the fall.

prompt #4

What is your personal credo (belief)?

I have several things that I feel very strongly about. These have become part of my belief system as I've gotten older.

No one has the same personality, everyone is different. I never understand why people judge other people. If the people are happy with themselves and don’t mind being different, let it be. Mind your own life because other peoples are not your life. If you’re not going to take time to get to know the person then you have no right to judge a person. Everyone deserves to be happy. That would be my other belief. I believe that you cannot make someone else happy unless you are happy. So when people do judge you, ignore them and realize that their not right. And put a smile on your face! Be happy.

prompt3

What characteristics do you value most in a friend? Explain why they are important.

I feel as if finding a true is very hard to come by. As a kid you grow up having that best friend but as you grow up you realize your just growing apart. Yes, you may still talk to them but nothing like it used to be. Also as you get older you find new friends. Something I love about my friend is that I can always trust her and be myself around her. I feel like those two things are the most important keys to any relationship with anyone. Trust, however, is a very hard thing to find in a person. I value having such a fun loving friend!

prompt #2

What does the following quote mean to you? "You don’t get to pick where you’re from, but you always have control of where you’re going."

I love this quote because I think it should make everyone just stop and think for a minute about their life. Some people grow up in the worst situations. There are numerous amounts of different situations that could go on. For some people it makes them go down a rough patch and turn for the worst. And for the others they go by what the quote says, “"You don’t get to pick where you’re from, but you always have control of where you’re going." Yes, they might have had one heck of a childhood but they are going to make their adulthood ten times better!

If a handful of people can change the world for the worse, then I am certain that a handful of people can change the world for the better.

What will you do to make this world of ours, which feels so broken right now, a better place?

There isn’t a lot that I can do as one person because the world is a very big place. There are always the little things I can do though. For instance, there are a lot of homeless people living on the streets. Anytime I’m driving and see a homeless person I always stop and give them at least $5. Also, one time while I was working at Pizza Hut a homeless man came in and just wanted a soda. I begged the manager on duty to let him order something off the menu for free or I was going to pay. But our manager let him order. There isn’t just a problem with the homeless people but as well as the homeless animals. And sometimes when people do pick up the animals and bring them to a vet or shelter they get put to sleep and that is just wrong!
